You now have your song as a digital file - which means it can be uploaded to a website where other people can hear it or download it or, in some cases, stream it. So you have another choice.

1  Are you not interested in selling your music? You just want people to hear it. In which case I have the ideal place to post it. Soundcloud is free, available to anyone anywhere in the world and you can send anyone a link so they can listen to your song. Click on the logo to go there

2  Do you want to make your songs available to be downloaded (and paid for) but you don´t want them uploaded to the usual streaming platforms such as Spotify?  If so, read on

3  Do you want your songs available on all the streaming services and also available at the big Download stores such as Amazon or Apple? If so read the following and  then click here

You can sell your songs as Digital Downloads on many sites  - Amazon Music and Apple Music being the most popular - but they will take a large cut of your income from these sales. If you want to keep almost 100% of the money you get when people download your songs you really need to be on Bandcamp.

Bandcamp  will let you keep a lot more of the income from your music when people download your songs - which is good news. They will take a percentage of any merchandise you sell on the site - you can even sell your CD there. Best of all they often have "Bandcamp Days" when everything on the site is commision free so if your fans download your songs that day you get 100% of the proceeds.
