"I Want An Orchestra"
Free Stuff!
All the DAWs we have mentioned come with an array of virtual instruments and effects but, because we are creative beings, we always want just one more. The sound of Ulillean Pipes (yes, I have needed them, haven´t I Suzanne?), or a Yamaha Grand Piano or even an entire orchestra.

Spitfire also do the completely free LABS series of instruments. I have used so many of these I´ve lost count but have a look at the possibilities here:-
That´s enough to keep anyone happy but there are literally hundreds of other instruments out there. For example the Keyzone Piano has a Fender Rhodes Electric, a Yamaha Grand and a Steinway. Get it here
Remember that cavernous reverb - the one that makes it sound like you are in the biggest cave ever? If that is what you desire then the Valhalla reverb is what you want. For more everyday reverbs I like the Dragonfly Hall. It just adds a bit of fairy dust when used sparingly. Take your pick of ten reverb plug-ins here. The Dragonfly is last on the list:-
